Prime Minister Holds Urgent Security Meeting on Thai-Cambodian Border Issue

Bangkok: The Prime Minister convened an urgent security meeting at the Thai Khu Fah building to address the situation at the Thai-Cambodian border. The meeting was organized with key figures, including the Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, Defense Minister General Nataphol Nakphanit, and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Ukkrit Boontanon, among others.

According to Thai News Agency, upon his arrival at 8:41 a.m., the Prime Minister paid homage to the Narasingh statue before commencing discussions. The National Police Chief, Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, has implemented a rear area protection plan to ensure public safety, alongside traffic management strategies. Border Patrol Police have been instructed to support forward forces in their operational areas.

The evacuation process is ongoing in some areas, with expedited actions required. In Sa Kaeo Province, riot control units have been deployed, prepared to act upon military orders, including those from the Second Army Area.
