Bangkok: The Prime Minister has ordered an immediate investigation into a construction incident involving a warehouse fire in the Lat Krabang area. The directive comes as part of efforts to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards in building construction following recent fire incidents.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that during a cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra instructed the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Industry to urgently inspect the affected construction site. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of verifying whether the building's construction adhered to legal requirements.
In addition to investigating the cause of the fire, the Prime Minister urged the relevant ministries to prioritize the safety of the local community and to implement measures to assist those impacted by the incident. The ministries have been tasked with proposing appropriate relief measures to support affected residents and businesses.
