Prime Minister Prasert Orders Investigation Following Teacher’s Tragic Death in Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya: Prime Minister Prasert expressed his condolences over the tragic death of a female teacher in Ayutthaya, a victim of a shooting rampage by a deranged man. He described the incident as heartbreaking and ordered the Ministry of Education to closely follow the case, assuring that the victim would receive full compensation as entitled.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Prasert Chantharawongthong, Minister of Education, commented on the horrific death of Ms. Papassara Ruangrit, a teacher at Wat Sukhantharam School (Sukhantawittayakarn) in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, who was shot by a deranged man. He stated that the incident was shocking and, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, expressed deep condolences to the family. He ordered close monitoring of the case, coordination with security forces, and emphasized the importance of addressing the death of a teacher as a serious matter. He also confirmed that the family is entitled to full compensation. Furthermore, he instructed the Deputy Minister of Education to attend the funeral service and provide initial assistance.

Mr. Prasert further emphasized that this incident should not have happened in Thai society. He stressed that society must be aware that such incidents can happen to anyone, regardless of who they are. Society must work together to monitor the situation, and all relevant parties must prioritize public safety.
