Buriram: A team from the Department of Mental Health's MCATT (Mental Health Assistance and Critical Care Unit) provided psychological support and counseling to refugees at a shelter in Buriram province. They also distributed sets of betel nut to the elderly to help them relieve stress.

According to Thai News Agency, medical staff, nurses, and the MCATT team from the Department of Mental Health offered their services to displaced persons affected by nearly two weeks of fighting, which has prevented them from returning home. The distribution of betel nut sets to elderly residents aimed to alleviate stress, leading to improved moods and smiles among the refugees. The displaced individuals shared positive feedback, appreciating the good care from the shelter staff, despite their longing for home. They noted that the encouragement and support received helped reduce anxiety and increased their happiness. The refugees expressed their readiness to remain at the shelter until it is safe to return home and called on the Thai military to take decisive action in resolving the situation with Cambodia to avoid future conflicts.
