Udon Thani:A python measuring approximately 3 meters was captured after it consumed nearly all of the fighting roosters owned by a local resident.
According to Thai News Agency, rescue workers from the Udon Thani Dharma Promotion Foundation successfully captured the snake, which was found hanging from a pomelo tree branch. The python had sneaked into a property in Moo 9, Ban Bon Nam, Tambon Mu Mon, Mueang Udon Thani district, where it devoured a chicken before being discovered by the homeowner, Mr. Wutthipat.
Mr. Wutthipat, who heard his chickens in distress, found the python's tail protruding from the tree. Nearby, a constricted rooster lay dead. He had been puzzled by the disappearance of his roosters over the past two weeks, initially attributing it to cats, rats, or theft, before realizing it was due to the python.
Rescue officials used a device to capture the snake by its tail, looped a rope around its head, and brought it down from the tree. The python was then released back into the wild. It is believed that the snake came from a nearby forest or construction site in search of food and discovered the chicken coop.
Mr. Wutthipat, who raises several fighting roosters, has lost approximately 25 chickens to the snake. He is contemplating using his house number in the upcoming lottery, hoping the incident might bring him good fortune.
