Bangkok: 'National Reds Day' at CentralwOrld became a spectacle of celebration as fans gathered to honor the Reds' 20th league championship. Spearheaded by Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance Public Company Limited, alongside sponsor Testo, Main Stand, The Stadium, Games Eng, and Bell Khobsanam, the event offered fans a chance to mingle with Reds legend John Arne Riise. The CentralwOrld shopping mall transformed its activity area into a 'Reds' stadium' for this memorable occasion. According to Thai News Agency, the event witnessed distinguished personalities such as Mr. Ton Na Ranong, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Dr. Khaphat Nimmanhaemin, Advisor to the Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, and Mr. Preecha Lalun, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) for Sports Excellence and Sports Science, gracing the celebration. The festivities commenced at 13:00 hrs. with a 5-a-side futsal competition called Red Spirit Charity Match. Led by John Arne Riise, artists, national footb all players, and youth teams participated in a match aimed at not only achieving victory but also raising funds. The event supported a project to develop football in private religious schools into a career, operated by the Southern Private Religious Schools Football Federation (IFC). The event area mirrored the ambiance of the Reds' stadium, complete with realistic decor, catchy phrases, graphics, and live music, creating an immersive experience for Thai fans akin to cheering in an English stadium. Fans engaged in various activities, including signing flags for the club's players, guessing match outcomes, and participating in challenges like the crossbar kicking game. Mr. Ton Na Ranong expressed his honor in being part of the event, emphasizing the unifying power of football and its role in promoting sports tourism. He highlighted the importance of sports as a cultural bridge and an economic stimulant, while praising the charity match for aligning with the government's policy of using sports for social deve lopment.
