Sisaket: The results of the RBC meeting between Thailand and Cambodia agreed on 11 points to reduce border tensions in the Second Army Region area and move towards peace. They emphasized that Thailand still maintains its sovereignty.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, a member of the Thai-Cambodian Border Situation Administration Center (CBSA), revealed that the special Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting held at Chong Sangam, Sisaket Province, between the Thai Second Army Region and Cambodia's Fourth Military Region, reached 11 key agreements to resolve the border situation and create a peaceful atmosphere. This was announced after the meeting by Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the Second Army Region, with key points as follows: reaffirming compliance with the ceasefire agreement and the results of the previous GBC meeting; maintaining military communication channels at all levels; resolving issues peacefully; avoiding clashes; refraining from disseminating fake news and provocations; reducing social and political pressure.

The agreements also include accepting security measures within the ceasefire framework, avoiding aggression, promoting humanitarian demining, and proposing to the GBC meeting the establishment of a "Coordination Committee" (CG) to enhance negotiation and problem-solving mechanisms at the local level. Both countries also agreed to cooperate in the suppression of transnational crimes, including drug trafficking, human trafficking, and call center gangs. Any outstanding issues will be brought to the GBC meeting or other appropriate mechanisms. The next RBC meeting is scheduled within one month, with Cambodia hosting.

Mr. Jirayu said the government believes the outcome of this RBC meeting will help reduce tensions, reduce clashes, and promote peacekeeping along the border. The government is prepared to utilize all appropriate and necessary mechanisms to protect sovereignty, territorial integrity, and ensure the safety of its citizens. The outcome of this meeting reflects Thailand's determination and sincerity to reduce border tensions and foster peace, as agreed upon at the GBC Ordinary Session on August 7 in Malaysia.
