Bangkok: The website dedicated to the Royal Cremation Ceremony is set to be unveiled, offering comprehensive information on Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Chair of the Public Relations Committee for the Royal Cremation Ceremony, led the inaugural meeting of the Public Relations Committee for 2026. The meeting, held in Room 301 of Command Building 1 at Government House and conducted online, included key figures such as Ms. Chuencheewan Limptherakul, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, and Ms. Sudrutai Lertkasem, the Director-General of the Department of Public Relations, along with various agency representatives.
According to Thai News Agency, the meeting focused on establishing a roadmap to enhance public awareness about the ceremony. A notable initiative is the launch of a dedicated website, queensirikit.go.th, which will serve as a central hub for accurate information on Queen Sirikit's life, royal activities, and ceremonies. Until the website goes live, information can be accessed through the Public Relations Department's website and the Phra Lan Facebook page.
The committee also discussed plans for a proactive public relations campaign, tracking each stage of the royal crematorium's construction and the grand royal procession rehearsals. To support global media coverage, an International Broadcasting Center will be established, accompanied by a bilingual Media Manual.
Ms. Supamas highlighted the ceremony's significance, emphasizing the need for precise and respectful communication. The committee plans to work closely with various sectors to ensure accurate and respectful dissemination of information, allowing people worldwide to honor the legacy of the 'Mother of the Nation.'
