Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force dispatched F-16 fighter jets to intercept unidentified aircraft near the Thai-Myanmar border, specifically in Kanchanaburi Province. This development followed reports of an unidentified high-performance aircraft approaching the border area, prompting a rapid response from the Air Force.
According to Thai News Agency, the Air Force's official Facebook page announced the urgent deployment at 12:45 p.m., confirming that two F-16s from Wing 4 were dispatched to intercept the aircraft. The aircraft was detected by the Air Force's radar systems, signaling a potential breach near the border.
Air Chief Marshal Prapass Sonjai, the Air Force spokesman, disclosed that the air traffic control unit had ordered the F-16s to take off from Wing 4 located in Takhli District, Nakhon Sawan Province. The jets were tasked with identifying and intercepting the unidentified aircraft to ensure the security of the region.
