Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force spokesperson has extended an invitation to children and youth to attend the National Children's Day event tomorrow and support the pilots. The spokesperson assured that the aerial demonstration is ready and security measures are in place, anticipating hundreds of thousands of attendees.
According to Thai News Agency, Air Vice Marshal Chakrit Thamvichai, spokesperson for the Royal Thai Air Force, highlighted the significance of National Children's Day 2026. He emphasized that the event serves as an opportunity to inspire and empower the younger generation while fostering public pride in the Royal Thai Air Force's capabilities.
While acknowledging potential challenges, the Royal Thai Air Force expressed apologies for any delays to commercial flights due to the event. They hope the day will be inspirational for children and youth. Efforts are being made to improve event facilities annually, and online registration is encouraged for attendees. Though the exact number of participants is unpredictable, expectations are for a turnout in the hundreds of thousands.
Security remains a top priority, with scanners and verification systems set up to ensure the identity of attendees. This year's air show promises to be particularly special, following the completion of a recent air mission in the border area. The event will take place at Squadron 601, the Royal Thai Air Force Museum, and Thung Si Kan Airfield in Bangkok. However, activities will not be held at certain wings due to the presence of combat aircraft.
The Air Force spokesperson also noted that the air show is distinct from actual operations, being conducted at low altitudes for better visibility. Attendees are encouraged to see their participation as support for soldiers serving in border areas.
