Sandy Kraikew Stuvik to Continue Racing with Ford Thailand Racing in 2026

Bangkok: Sandy Kraikew Stuvik has announced her ongoing collaboration with Ford Thailand Racing (FTR) for the seventh consecutive year, with an aim to clinch the Super Pickup championship in the Thailand Super Series 2026. Sandy, a Thai-Norwegian racer, competes in the Thailand Super Pickup class, part of Thailand's largest annual road racing event, the Thailand Super Series (TSS).

According to Thai News Agency, 2016 was a pivotal year for Team FTR, as they expanded their lineup to strengthen their competitive position. This year, Sandy will be joining YK Motorsports, where she will play a crucial role in the team's new race car project. Sandy will be racing a Ford Ranger Single Cab pickup truck, featuring a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine, in the highly competitive Thailand Super Pickup class. With 39 vehicles participating, the competition is expected to be intense.

Moving to YK Motorsports presents new challenges as the team is tasked with building and developing a new race car within a limited timeframe before the season's first race at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, scheduled from May 22-24. Sandy enters the season with confidence, having secured a victory in the final race of the 2025 season, but she acknowledges the growing competition.

Sandy expressed her enthusiasm about her continued partnership with Ford Thailand Racing, emphasizing the challenges posed by the new race car development. She stated, "This year presents another significant challenge with the new race car development team. Although we have limited time, I am fully prepared to push the team to the forefront and fight for our ultimate goal: winning the championship this year."

The 2026 Thailand Super Series will commence with its opening round from May 21-24 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram. Motorsport fans are eagerly anticipating the debut of Sandy's new team, which could be a highlight of the season. The series will continue with its second round from July 1-5 at Bangsaen Street Circuit in Chonburi Province, followed by the third round from October 30 to November 1 back at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province.
