Tumbler ridge: A shooting has occurred at a school in Canada. Nine people were killed in a shooting in a remote municipality in western Canada, six of whom died at a high school before the gunman took his own life. The Royal Canadian Police announced that an incident occurred Tuesday local time in the municipality of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, in the far west of the country. Officers found six dead at the high school and two dead in a residence, and one injured person died en route to hospital. Additionally, 25 other people were injured and are being assessed. Police found the body of a suspected gunman, believed to have committed suicide, and believe the attacker acted alone. Earlier, authorities described the suspect as a woman with brown hair in a security alert while the incident was still ongoing.
According to Thai News Agency, Tumbler Ridge is a remote area with a population of only 2,400, situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, approximately 1,555 kilometers northeast of Vancouver, the largest city in British Columbia.
