Bangkok: The Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) revealed that the 2025 SEA Games will now be able to use a new logo after the designer signed off on accepting the terms and conditions.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, shared the latest progress regarding the logo for the 33rd SEA Games, which Thailand is set to host. Initially, there were restrictions placed by the copyright holder and designer, allowing the logo to be used only as a still image and prohibiting its use in animated or 3D formats, as well as on souvenirs.
Following a series of negotiations and the SAT dispatching a letter-investigated by the Office of the Attorney General-to the copyright owner, Dr. Kongsak announced that the designer has now agreed to the terms and conditions. This agreement allows the 2025 SEA Games to utilize the newly designed competition logo. The logo, created under the concept “Play by the Rules,” draws inspiration from “field lines and running track” found in athletics.
