BANGKOK: The selection of the Chairman of the Bank of Thailand has been postponed to November 11, 2024. The Secretary of the Selection Committee announced that the meeting to choose the chairman of the board and directors has been rescheduled. According to Thai News Agency, Mrs. Wirekha Santaphan, the Secretary of the Selection Committee for the Chairman and Qualified Directors of the Bank of Thailand, stated that the Chairman of the Selection Committee had consulted with the committee members and concluded that additional time was necessary to thoroughly evaluate all relevant information. This decision aims to ensure that the meeting is conducted efficiently and effectively. Consequently, the meeting initially planned for November 4, 2024, has been postponed to November 11, 2024.
