Chaiyaphum: The Sports Photojournalists Association of Thailand, in collaboration with the Sports Photojournalists Association Foundation, donated a multi-purpose sports event to Ban Nong Waeng School in Chaiyaphum Province. According to Thai News Agency, the association organized the "Sports Caravan 2026" project, providing multi-purpose sports equipment to Ban Nong Waeng School, located in the Sap Si Thong Subdistrict, Mueang District. The event was attended by Mr. Paitoon Chutimakornkul, President of the Sports Journalists and Photographers Association of Thailand, Mr. Jaroon Wanichcha, advisor to the Sports Journalists and Photographers Association Foundation, and members of the association's executive committee, as well as numerous media representatives from Bangkok. Distinguished guests from the area included the Senior District Clerk of Mueang Chaiyaphum District, Police Sergeant Major Charun Chuchuen, Deputy Director of the Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, Police Colonel Suthin an Kongchaemdee, Superintendent of Mueang Chaiyaphum Police Station, Mr. Damrongphon Klaajing, Mayor of Sap Si Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and Mr. Bai Khittuek, Chairman of the School Board of Ban Nong Waeng School. Ms. Pattanant Pattanaputtilerd, director of Ban Nong Waeng School, along with teachers, students, and many local residents, were present to welcome the attendees. The handover ceremony began with a student performance titled "The Charm of Chaiyaphum, the Art of Isan, Blended with Muay Thai Dance," featuring 32 students from grades 3-6 under the guidance of teachers Mr. Wasan Wangkham and Ms. Sornprakai Mueankhunthod. Ms. Pattanaputtilerd expressed gratitude in her welcoming speech, highlighting the importance of the donation: "On behalf of Ban Nong Waeng School, the teachers, students, and the local community, we are delighted and excited that a small school like ours has been selected to have a multi-purpose sports field built free of charge, valued at 330,000 baht, along wit h sports equipment worth 100,000 baht. We are sincerely grateful to the Association for valuing underprivileged students." Mr. Paitoon Chutimakornkul explained the purpose of the project: "The association's sports caravan project surveyed Chaiyaphum province and selected Ban Nong Waeng School for constructing a multi-purpose sports field of international standard size. This will provide opportunities for students and the community for sports and social activities." Since 2012, the 'Sports Caravan' project has donated sports fields and equipment to 18 schools nationwide. The next location is a school in Sakon Nakhon province, with plans for construction in 2027.
