Weerit’ discussed with ‘Khamronwit’ and handed over the Local Road section of Khlong Rangsit Prayurasak – Pathum Thani Bridge – Rangsit to the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization to take care of. He urged them to expedite the repair of the road section of Lak Hok Station – Rangsit and installed steel beams to limit the height to facilitate people using the route temporarily.
Mr. Wirit Amrapal, Governor of the State Railway of Thailand, revealed that today (October 28), he had a meeting with Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Toopkrachang, President of the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, to discuss the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the handover of Local Road, Khlong Rangsit Prayurasak – Pathum Thani Bridge – Rangsit, to the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization to oversee and maintain it in order to facilitate the people who use the said route to travel conveniently and safely. He also visited the area to survey the damaged road surface together wit
h Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit. However, from now on, the State Railway of Thailand will expedite the drafting of the Memorandum of Understanding to cover as much as possible in order to urgently solve the problems for the people permanently and sustainably.
Mr. Wirit added that for the long-term solution, in order to increase the efficiency of road maintenance, including the traffic surface to create the greatest safety for road users on the said route, the State Railway of Thailand will integrate cooperation with the Department of Highways and the Department of Rural Highways to set up mobile weight checkpoints, including installing steel beams to limit the height before the junction with Kamphaeng Phet 6 Road to strictly control the weight of trucks, preventing trucks weighing more than the legal limit, according to the measures of the Ministry of Transport, from using the route. If any violations are found, strict legal action will be taken.
