Suanphueng Highland Team Sweeps Piti Bhirombhakdi Foundation Golf Awards

Bangkok: The Golf Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage recently hosted a charity golf tournament at Riverdale Golf Club with the aim of supporting projects spearheaded by the Piti Bhirom Bhakdi Foundation in both education and medicine. The event saw participation from notable figures, including Mr. Santi Bhirom Bhakdi, Chairman of the Executive Board of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., Mr. Piti Bhirom Bhakdi, Deputy Managing Director of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Piti Foundation, and Mr. Rangsarit Lakitanon, President of the Golf Association of Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, the 'Suanphueng Highland' teams, comprising Teams 1 and 2, emerged victorious, securing both the championship and runner-up positions. The tournament was structured around teams of four amateur golfers competing in stroke play, with a total score determining the winners. 'Suanphueng Highland 2' clinched the championship with a combined score of 268, featuring national golfers Thanawin Lee, Setthawut Kenanan, Achiraya Sriwong, and Thanjira Issarapol. They received their trophy from Mr. Rangsrit Lakitanont, President of the Golf Association of Thailand. The runner-up, 'Suanphueng Highland 1', achieved a score of 292, while the third-place team, 'PTT', scored 334 and also received a trophy from the association.

The tournament included a special 'Tod-Piti Par 3 Contest' on hole 5, which stood out as a highlight, challenging golfers to compete against Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi for a special prize. The proceeds from this event are allocated by the Golf Association of Thailand to support various initiatives of the Piti Bhirom Bhakdi Foundation. These initiatives include offering scholarships to academically outstanding students, supplying learning and sports equipment to schools and institutions in need, and providing medical equipment to healthcare institutions. Additionally, the foundation engages in public welfare activities and collaborates with other charitable organizations to assist and develop society in multiple areas. This year's focus will be on supporting five educational projects centered around AI technology, sports and recreation, hygiene, safety, and agriculture.
