Supajee’s Campaign Visit to Khlong Chan Morning Market Draws Public Support for Thitipass

Bangkok: "Supajee" campaigned at Khlong Chan morning market to support "Oh Thitipass", the Bhumjaithai Party candidate for Bang Kapi district. People flocked to take photos and offer encouragement along the way, saying that voting for Bhumjaithai would bring back the "Half-Price Plus" subsidy.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Supajee Suthamphan, a campaign assistant for the Bhumjaithai Party, led a team of party leaders including Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, along with Mr. Anucha Burapachaisri and Ms. Picharat Lauhapongchana, candidates for the party-list MP position, to the morning market in front of Khlong Chan Botanical Garden to campaign for Ms. Thitiphas Chotdechachainant, the candidate for Bang Kapi - Wang Thonglang district.

During the meeting, Ms. Supajee met with the public and vendors, creating a lively atmosphere. A vendor selling calamansi juice offered Ms. Supajee a sample of her "calamansi juice with honey and lemon," mentioning that it was grown locally in Chanthaburi province. Ms. Supajee responded that her mother also lives in Chanthaburi. The vendors also expressed their concern about the need for more market space, as Chanthaburi province is currently undertaking a project to cultivate calamansi oranges for processing into juice, and it is now very popular in Vietnam.

In addition, people offered roses to show their support and approached her for photos along the way in a friendly manner, complimenting Ms. Supajee on her abilities and appearance. Ms. Supajee thanked the people and stated that the Bhumjaithai Party has policies to care for the elderly. Some people expressed their happiness that Ms. Thitiphas had joined a party they liked, and others told Ms. Supajee that they admired people who work hard, to which Ms. Supajee replied, "We work every day."

Ms. Supajee also purchased a black and white rose-patterned fabric bag for 100 baht from a vendor, saying she now has a bag to put her phone in. At one point, some vendors raised concerns about the problems in their trading area, to which Ms. Supajee and Ms. Thitipat replied that the area falls under the jurisdiction of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration but they would take note of their concerns.

Ms. Supajee also inquired about the vendor's participation in the "Half-Price Plus" project. The vendor said they had participated but the deadline had passed. Ms. Supajee then responded to the vendor, "If you choose Oh Thitipass, you will be able to participate in the 'Half-Price Plus' project again."

The group then had breakfast at Plev Ancient Tom Yum Noodle Shop, before walking to Shot 33 Cafe on Soi Nawamin 12 to meet with members of the Khlong Chan community and speak with residents and business owners in the community.
