Samut prakan: A 19-year-old man was injured after being attacked and held at gunpoint by a gang of teenagers. A 19-year-old man appealed to the media after being allegedly attacked by a group of about ten men who barged into his hotel room late at night, held him at gunpoint, forced him to the rooftop, and assaulted him for over an hour. His family fears they will not receive justice, as the perpetrators have shown no fear of the law.
According to Thai News Agency, the young man brought a video clip to the media showing evidence of the assault inside a hotel in Pak Khlong Bang Pla Kod Subdistrict, Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan Province, in the early hours of this morning. The victim recounted that on February 22nd, at 2:00 AM, he and nearly 10 friends rented a room in the area for a party. During that time, a group of more than 10 perpetrators stormed into the room, threatened them with a gun, and forced them to go up to the hotel's rooftop. The perpetrators then brutally assaulted him, kicking, punching, and beating him with sticks and metal objects for over an hour.
The victim stated that he was forced to call "First," a friend who was in conflict with the perpetrators. He tried to contact First but was unsuccessful, which angered the perpetrators, leading them to repeatedly assault him. Eventually, a younger student called an older student to intervene, at which point the perpetrators stopped the violence and took him to the hospital. He insists he never knew or had any problems with the perpetrators before and vows to pursue the matter to the fullest extent. His family is concerned that they will not receive justice and that the case will be hushed up, so they have brought the matter to the attention of the media.
