Teng Joins People’s Party as Election Preparations Reach Advanced Stage

Bangkok: "Teng" arrived at the People's Party headquarters early this morning to discuss election preparations following the dissolution of parliament. Reports indicate that preparations for the constituency elections are over 90% complete. Meanwhile, the party-list candidates are gradually arriving for interviews today, with the final list expected to be announced by December 16th. Leaflets introducing the prospective Bangkok MPs are already circulating beneath the party building, indicating preparations for campaigning.

According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere within the People's Party has been active following the publication of the Royal Decree dissolving the House of Representatives in the Royal Gazette, B.E. 2568 (2025). At 9:58 AM, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, arrived at the Future Forward Party building for a full-day meeting of the party's executive committee. Mr. Nattapong did not answer any questions from the media. It is expected that the discussions will focus on party work strategies and preparations for the upcoming election. Also present was Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, deputy party leader.

Reporters further noted that at the Future Forward Party building, which houses the party headquarters, a pile of leaflets introducing prospective Bangkok MPs was found. Additionally, candidates for the party-list economic group were arriving for their final day of interviews. Currently, 90% of the constituency candidates have been selected.
