Tension Escalates at Sisaket Border as Artillery Fire Persists

Sisaket: The border in Sisaket remains tense, with village defense volunteers controlling seven red zone subdistricts. Entering its 19th day, the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border remains tense in several provinces. Artillery fire is heard in several areas. In Sisaket province, near the Preah Vihear temple, particularly in the Huai Ta Maria and Phu Makheua areas, military operations continue to control the situation and maintain security. Village security teams (Chorob) manning checkpoints in seven "red zone" sub-districts remain vigilant, preventing unauthorized persons from entering high-risk areas. Some villagers needing to feed their animals are being granted special permission, with strict instructions to do so urgently and to leave the area immediately for their safety. This is all amidst the resounding sounds of Thai military operations, which continue to heavily reinforce security in the area.

According to Thai News Agency, the Army Military Force Facebook page reported that F-16 fighter jets dropped eggs on a Cambodian military base in the Chok Chey-Prey Chan (Nong Chan) district of Sa Kaeo province.
