Thai Army On Alert After Myanmar Airstrikes

Thailand: Thailand's Third Army Region has intensified border security after Myanmar military aircraft dropped nine bombs on a clinic in Myanmar near the frontier, sending shrapnel into Thai territory. Lieutenant General Worathep Boonya, Third Army Commander, confirmed the strikes targeted the U Mi Hta (KNU) clinic opposite Mae Hong Son province. While no shells landed directly in Thailand, shrapnel damaged a Thai villager's roof. No injuries were reported.

According to Thai News Agency, Thai authorities have evacuated residents from the border village of Mae Sam Laeb to safer inland areas as a precaution. The Naresuan Force has contacted Myanmar military officials, demanding greater caution to prevent ordnance from crossing the border as fighting continues between the junta and ethnic armed groups.
