Thai Domestic Power 2026 Project Selects Young Golfers for Development Program

Nakhon nayok: Twenty young golfers have been selected to represent the first region in the Thai Domestic Power 2026 project, a comprehensive sports promotion initiative aimed at nurturing promising sports talent in Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, the project is a collaborative effort between the Ladies Professional Golf Association of Thailand and the Golf Association of Thailand, with support from the National Sports Development Fund and the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT). This initiative underscores a commitment to developing a high-standard youth golf program and aims to propel athletes to professional and international competitions. The first regional qualifying round took place at Royal Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Nakhon Nayok province, where 20 young golfers from each region were selected to join the project.

The selected athletes include 13 female golfers, such as Nawaporn Suntriphas, Erisa Bindhachit (Am), and Kalayarak Pongpithanont (Am), and seven male golfers, including Jaided Phromsakhana Na Sakon Nakhon (Am), Thanapoom Suphamitrsiri (Am), and Chanunwit Chotiwutworawet (Am). These athletes will undergo a systematic development process under a curriculum that aims to comprehensively enhance their playing techniques, physical fitness, mental fortitude, sports science, and competitive experiences in preparation for a future professional golf career.

The Thai Domestic Power project is designed not just as a talent selection program but as a platform that provides opportunities for Thai youth to develop their potential comprehensively. With guidance from experts across various fields, the program seeks to cultivate high-quality golfers equipped for success in the future.
