“Thai Helps Thai Plus 60/40” Program Surpasses 6,214 Million Baht in Spending

Bangkok: The government announced that the "Thai Helps Thai Plus 60/40" economic stimulus program is continuing its efforts, with cumulative spending exceeding 6,214 million baht and over 16.5 million people having already utilized their benefits.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the "Thai Helps Thai Plus 60/40" project, which began allowing citizens to exercise their rights on June 1, 2026, continues to receive a positive response from the public and businesses nationwide. This has resulted in continuous spending and money circulation in the economic system, aligning with the government's policy of stimulating the grassroots economy and increasing purchasing power for the people.

The deputy spokesperson stated that data from the Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance, as of June 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM, showed that 26,040,623 people had received benefits under the program, and 16,527,898 people had successfully made purchases. The cumulative spending under the program totaled 6,214.99 million baht, comprising 3,614.79 million baht contributed by the government and 2,600.20 million baht contributed by the public. This reflects the public's participation in driving the economy and distributing funds to businesses nationwide.

Currently, there are 951,013 registered and ready-to-use merchants in the program, comprising 851,247 existing merchants and 99,766 new merchants. Additionally, 128,333 merchants are awaiting approval of the Terms and Conditions (T and C), and another 3,652 merchants are under review.

Furthermore, there are already 829,130 ??shops that have utilized the program, demonstrating its ability to increase trade opportunities and generate income for small business owners, community shops, and local businesses on a broad scale.

Ms. Lalida stated that the figures reflect public confidence in the government's economic stimulus measures and demonstrate that funds from the projects can quickly enter the real economy, helping to create economic circulation at the community and local levels nationwide.

"The government will closely monitor the progress of the project to ensure that the measures effectively and comprehensively address the needs of economic recovery, increase people's purchasing power, and support small businesses."
