Thai News Agency Reporters Honored at Award Ceremony Presided by Deputy Prime Minister

Bangkok: Thai News Agency reporters received the Outstanding Field Reporter Award, with 'Pirapan' presiding over the award ceremony. In addition, there was an award honoring a role model peacekeeper, an award for outstanding news anchors, and 120 scholarships were awarded. Mr. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, presided over the presentation of the Outstanding Reporter-Newscaster Award and the Honorary Model Peacekeeper Award. The awards were divided into 16 police officers who received the Honorary Model Peacekeeper Award, 8 honorary models for outstanding field reporters, and 5 honorary models for outstanding newscasters. One of the outstanding field reporter awards was Ms. Tasanee Dammunee, a senior reporter at the Thai News Agency.

According to Thai News Agency, the police honored with the "Model Peacekeeper" award excelled in various fields. Pol. Gen. Thatchai Pitaneelabutr, Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police, was recognized for his commitment to crime suppression, particularly against call center gangs and online threats. Pol. Gen. Akkaradej Pimolsri, Special Advisor to the Royal Thai Police, was awarded for his work on high-profile cases like the shooting of a Provincial Administrative Organization member and the crackdown on influential figures in Prachin Buri Province. Pol. Gen. Thanayut Wutticharatthamrong, Special Advisor to the Royal Thai Police, was noted for solving significant cases, including the "Am Cyanide" case and the arrest of police officers involved in extortion.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran Nuanma, Assistant Commander of the Royal Thai Police, received recognition for his efforts in drug suppression and youth gang crime prevention. Pol. Lt. Gen. Jiraphop Phuridet was honored for his leadership in organized crime suppression over the past three years. Pol. Lt. Gen. Santi Chainiramai was acknowledged for his success in narcotics suppression, seizing large quantities of methamphetamine and other drugs.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Trirong Phiwpaen, Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Police, was commended for his proactive approach to online crime suppression. Pol. Lt. Gen. Piyawat Chalermsri was recognized for his work in insurgency suppression in the southern border region. Pol. Lt. Col. Panthana Nuchnarat was honored for his contributions to transnational crime investigation and suppression. Pol. Lt. Col. Charoonkiat Pankaew was acknowledged for his efforts in corruption suppression.

Pol. Lt. Col. Noppasin Poolsawat was celebrated for his investigative work on cases like the Phramongkutklao Hospital bombing. Pol. Maj. Gen. Thiradej Thamsuthee, known as "Deputy Jor," received recognition for his legendary detective skills. Pol. Col. Anek Taosuphap was noted for his investigative prowess in major cases, including the "Am Cyanide" case.

Pol. Lt. Saranpong Onsingh was celebrated for his heroic act of saving a young boy from a car accident, and Pol. Sgt. Maj. Methawut Phetsri was acknowledged for rescuing a couple from a house fire. Lastly, Pol. Sgt. Maj. Worawit Naratta was honored for his bravery despite personal injury.

In addition to these awards, 120 scholarships were granted to the children of journalists in the association, supporting their education from kindergarten through to bachelor's degree.
