According to Thai News Agency, Thailand faced Malaysia in the men's singles sepak takraw final at Nagoya City Mizuho Park. The Thai team, consisting of Kritsanapong Nonthakhot as the server, Thanapol Sapyean as the attacker, and Wuttinan Khamsen as the setter, sought to redeem themselves after a previous loss to Malaysia in the team event. Malaysia's lineup included Mohammad Rosdi as the server, Mohammad Aslan as the spiker, and Aiman ??Aswawi as the setter. The first set was competitive, but Thailand gained an early lead with powerful spikes from Thanapol Sapyen, leading to a 9-5 advantage. Kritsanapong Nonthakhot's strong serves solidified Thailand's position, allowing them to win the set 15-9. In the second set, Kritsanapong's effective serving continued to put pressure on Malaysia.
