Bangkok: The Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission met with Paradorn to discuss Thailand's progress towards OECD membership. Mr. Phumwisarn Kasemsuk, Secretary-General of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), revealed after meeting with Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, that the discussion concerned Thailand's membership in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kasemsuk stated that OECD membership acts like a magnifying glass, attracting investors and allowing Thailand to close loopholes that could lead to hidden bribery. Concrete results are expected within 1-2 months. All agencies must cooperate to solve the problems, with the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) serving as the performance indicator. In the past, there may have been 15 processes, but this government has reduced them to just 4, which has enabled success. Therefore, increased transparency will improve the overall image of our country and attract business investment. This is a core mission of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) in accordance with government policy.
