Bangkok: Good news emerges for Thai job seekers as 18 positions for Thai massage therapists are announced in Malaysia, with a two-year employment contract available. Applications are open online at toea.doe.go.th and will remain available until February 19, 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Airin Phanrit, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, emphasized the government's focus on creating overseas employment opportunities to boost income and improve living standards for Thai workers. The Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, is spearheading this recruitment for VYV Wellness Retreat Sdm Bhd in Malaysia. The initiative offers a unique chance for Thai women to work abroad as Thai massage therapists, with 18 positions currently open.
The employment offer includes two wage structures: a fixed monthly salary of 3,300 Malaysian Ringgit or a commission-based pay scale starting at 22 Ringgit per hour for the initial 160 hours, increasing to 25 Ringgit per hour thereafter. Employees will work 7.5 hours a day, six days a week, and receive benefits such as free accommodation, round-trip airfare upon contract completion, and mandatory medical and health insurance.
Candidates must be female, aged 21-44, and possess a certificate of at least 150 hours in foot or Thai massage training. Good health and a positive attitude are also required. Selected candidates will incur minimal expenses, including fees for photos, passports, health checks, and membership to a fund assisting job seekers abroad, totaling approximately 6,500 baht.
