Bangkok: Thaksin Shinawatra gained his freedom, stepping out of prison and returning to the moonlit night. Thaksin Shinawatra was released from prison and waved to Red Shirt supporters.
According to Thai News Agency, at approximately 7:40 a.m., former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra emerged from Klong Prem Central Prison with a smiling face, wearing a white shirt. He immediately embraced his family and greeted the Red Shirt supporters who had gathered to show their support in front of the prison. As soon as Mr. Thaksin appeared, the Red Shirt crowd cheered. Mr. Thaksin stood at attention to salute the national flag with the Red Shirts.
The Shinawatra family had gathered to welcome him since early morning before Mr. Thaksin left the prison for his residence, Chansongla House, in a black Mercedes-Benz with license plate PT 4444.
