Thammanat Prompao Visits Hat Yai, Highlights Relief Plans for Flood-Affected Residents

Hat yai: Thammanat visited Hat Yai to offer moral support to the people and emphasized that the government is preparing short-term and long-term relief plans to allow Hat Yai residents to return to normal life as soon as possible.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, in his capacity as Director of the Center for Water Management in Natural Disasters (CMDM), visited residents in Hat Yai Nai District after the flooding situation began to ease. In many communities, water levels have receded and returned to normal. Residents and business owners are cleaning their homes, utensils, and storefronts to ensure they can resume daily activities and reopen their businesses as soon as possible.

Lt. Col. Thammanat revealed that Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, will travel to Songkhla Province today to monitor the situation and develop plans for recovery, relief, and short-term and long-term assistance. He also plans to expedite the restoration of the area to its normal use once the floodwaters recede, allowing Hat Yai residents to return to normal life as quickly as possible.
