The Mall Group Unveils Monchhichi Collaboration with Deputy Prime Minister

Bangkok: The Mall Group has brought "Monchichi," a globally beloved fluffy monkey character from Japan, to meet with Mr. Sophon Saram, Deputy Prime Minister. This meeting took place before the Cabinet session and highlighted Bangkok's significance as a central hub for New Year's celebrations in the region.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Woralak Tulaphorn, Chief Executive Officer of the Marketing Group at The Mall Group, led the delegation. The team presented "Monchhichi Limited Edition" souvenirs to the Deputy Prime Minister as a symbol of the upcoming New Year's festival, aiming to spread happiness and enhance the festive atmosphere for Thai people.

The initiative aligns with the launch of "Monchhichi Christmas Town," the first international Christmas festival of its kind in Southeast Asia, scheduled to take place at The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi from December 4, 2025, to January 4, 2026. The Mall Group's efforts focus on enriching Thailand's year-end festivities and strengthening Bangkok's standing as a prime tourist destination during the holiday season.

Monchhichi, which has delighted fans worldwide for over five decades, will play a significant role in creating a vibrant New Year ambiance in Bangkok. The event will feature a Monchhichi Christmas theme, a Premium Collection, and a Thailand Exclusive Collection with outfits such as Muay Thai gear, baby elephant costumes, and traditional Thai school uniforms. Additionally, visitors can expect the first Monchhichi POP-UP STORE in Thailand and a Japanese-style gift box at Emporium Department Store. Monchhichi Christmas Town promises a unique experience for fans, marking its debut in Southeast Asia and showcasing content never seen before by enthusiasts globally.
