Kyiv: The Ukrainian president has announced plans for retaliation after a Russian drone struck the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) building in central Kyiv. The drone attack directly targeted the office of the SSU's deputy director, escalating tensions between the two nations.
According to Thai News Agency, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Tsibiha expressed on the X platform that the attack marked a significant escalation in violence and necessitated a decisive response from Ukraine. He emphasized that Russia's aggression, occurring amid renewed peace efforts, clearly indicates its rejection of diplomatic solutions.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the details of the drone strike, outlining that the attack on the SSU building was a deliberate act by Russia. He reiterated Ukraine's intention to retaliate, further intensifying the ongoing conflict.
