Unlimited Noodles for 50 Baht with Hefty Fine for Leftovers in Ratchaburi

Ratchaburi: A unique dining experience awaits noodle enthusiasts at Uncle Ball Om Maha Ruay Shop, located on the Ratchaburi-Chom Bueng road, next to Wat Khao Krot, Tambon Ko Plap Phla, Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Ratchaburi. The shop, owned by Mr. Chaiphat Preedakongkiat, offers an unusual promotion - unlimited noodle refills for just 50 baht, with a catch. If customers fail to finish their meal, they are fined 10 times the price.

According to Thai News Agency, the shop has been open for three months since November last year, offering a variety of affordable menu options. Patrons can enjoy a bowl of red pork noodles for 25 baht, noodles with wontons for 35 baht, and a plate of red pork and crispy pork rice for 35 baht. The shop also offers a la carte dishes such as omelet rice, chili fried rice, and basil fried rice for 35 baht. However, the highlight remains the red pork noodle menu with its unlimited noodle promotion.

The promotion has attracted many customers, some aiming to set records. The highest record set so far is 15 servings of noodles, with some attempting to order as many as 20 but failing to finish, resulting in a 500 baht charge. Mr. Chaiphat emphasizes that the cooking process is meticulous, with a secret recipe involving self-made roast pork, roasted peanuts, chili powder, and fried garlic, all contributing to the dish's unique flavor. The noodles are prepared with a mix of roasted pork juice, topped with fried garlic, roasted pork, pork dumplings, and meatballs. Customers can also add more roasted pork juice if desired.

The shop encourages patrons to eat to their heart's content but insists on finishing everything to avoid the hefty fine. The shop is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., welcoming anyone keen to take up the noodle challenge or simply enjoy a delicious and inexpensive meal.
