Urgent Investigation Underway into Lat Phrao Brewery Fire

Bangkok: Police and forensic investigators are urgently examining the fire at the Lat Phrao Beer Garden to gather evidence to determine whether it was negligence or arson. Regarding reports that the owner locked customers and prevented them from leaving, demanding payment even after the fire had already started, this will depend on further investigation.

According to Thai News Agency, Police Major General Pallop Aeromla, Deputy Commander of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police, inspected the scene of the fire at the brewery in Lat Phrao. He initially instructed the head of the investigation unit at Phaholyothin Police Station to examine the scene in conjunction with the forensic team to gather evidence to determine whether the fire was caused by negligence or arson.

Regarding the information that the shop owner locked customers and prevented them from leaving, but demanded payment beforehand despite the fire having already occurred, this still requires further investigation. The shop owner is currently seriously injured and in the ICU. Initially, two to three witnesses have been questioned.
