Phra nakhon si ayutthaya: Officials have accelerated efforts to repair a significant leak at the Khlong Tanueng water gate in Bang Ban District, as the breach has led to the overflow of water from the Noi River, impacting nearly 1,000 homes in the Kudi community of Phak Hai District.
According to Thai News Agency, multiple agencies have been mobilized to address the situation, utilizing big bags and backhoes to plug the leak. The collapse of the water gate has resulted in the inundation of fields and residential areas, with water levels projected to rise further. The village headman of Village No. 10, Kudi Subdistrict, expressed concern that while the current water levels remain manageable, a delay in repairs beyond today could exacerbate the situation for already affected homes.
