Bangkok: Yamaha Thailand Racing Team riders have been honored for their achievements at the first round of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2026. Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to induct 'Tee' Anupap Samool and 'Idea' Kritphat Khueankham into the YAMAHA RACING CORNER HALL OF FAME. This recognition comes after their exceptional performances at the Asian level.
According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Pongsathorn Euamongkolchai, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Ukrit Pakvivat, Senior Vice President for Trade Planning and Marketing. Both officials presented the 'Stars of Achievement' to the riders and celebrated the occasion with a warm gathering. Employees of Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. joined the celebrations, interacting with the racers and participating in photo sessions.
In the ARRC 2026, Round 1, which took place from April 10-12 at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, "Idea-Kritphat" dominated the Asia Production 250cc class by winning both races. His performance earned him 50 points, placing him at the top of the overall standings. Meanwhile, "Gus" Theeranai Thubthim, a wildcard entrant, finished 10th in the first race, contributing 6 points to Yamaha's lead in the team standings.
Furthermore, "Tee-Anupap" achieved a second-place finish in the SuperSport 600cc class first race. With 24 points, he remains a key contender in the championship standings. The second round of the 2026 Asia Road Racing Championship is scheduled for May 8-10 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province, where fans can support the Yamaha Thailand Racing Team riders.
