15-Year-Old Boy Killed in Motorcycle Collision with Reckless Teenagers

Bang yai: A group of about ten teenagers on motorcycles tragically collided with a 15-year-old boy, resulting in his death and injuring another passenger. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured the group of young motorcyclists speeding through the darkness before colliding head-on with oncoming traffic. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, around 00:30, on the road along the canal in Bang Yai Subdistrict, Bang Yai District.

Police from Bang Mae Nang Police Station, along with rescue workers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation, arrived on the scene after receiving a report of the collision. They discovered the body of 15-year-old Mr. Khwanchai next to a blue and white Honda Wave motorcycle. Another passenger, Mr. Patcharakrit, also 15, was found seriously injured. Approximately 10 meters away, a black Honda motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old Laotian man was found with severe front damage. Across the road, a modified Honda Sonic motorcycle, driven by 16-year-old Mr. Thanakorn (pseudonym), was overturned in the roadside grass. Both injured individuals were initially transported to Bang Yai Hospital by rescue workers.

Police have documented the scene and collected CCTV footage as evidence to identify and prosecute the motorcycle gang. They plan to re-interview all injured parties once their condition improves to proceed with filing charges.
