Ayutthaya: A well-known shop in Ayutthaya, Bank Yang Sa, has taken a unique initiative by transporting 2,000 used tires to soldiers stationed at the border. This effort aims to assist the military in constructing bunkers and to boost the morale of those defending the nation's frontier.
According to Thai News Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by Mr. Wanchai Kanrong, the 36-year-old owner of Bank Yang Sa, located on Chom Phon Po Road in the Bang Pa-in District of Ayutthaya Province. Mr. Wanchai expressed his commitment to the cause through a Facebook post, stating his intention to deliver tires to soldiers. He emphasized the importance of knowing where the assistance is needed most and expressed his wish to personally deliver rice and dry food to the soldiers to show his support.
In an interview, Mr. Wanchai revealed that his shop had accumulated over 1,000 old tires. Additionally, a friend who also owns a tire shop contributed to the collection, bringing the total to approximately 2,000 tires. Along with the tires, they are also providing drinking water and dried food. A group of allies has organized a trailer to transport these supplies, and they plan to commence delivery immediately.
The initiative aims to support soldiers stationed at the border in Surin Province. The contribution is seen as a gesture of solidarity, helping to alleviate the soldiers' workload and bolster their morale as they perform their duties in the challenging border area.
