Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for potential heavy rain and thunderstorms in certain areas of the Central Region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, as well as the Eastern and Southern Regions. Residents in these areas are urged to exercise caution due to the dangers associated with heavy rainfall. According to Thai News Agency, over the next 24 hours, a decrease in rainfall is expected in the Northern and Northeastern regions, although thunderstorms may still occur in some locales. However, heavy rain is anticipated in parts of the Central Region, including Bangkok, along with the Eastern and Southern Regions. This weather pattern is attributed to the monsoon trough moving across the central and eastern regions, in conjunction with the southwest monsoon continuing over the Andaman Sea, the southern region, and the Gulf of Thailand. In the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, wave heights are expected to reach approximately 1 meter, with waves rising above 2 meters in areas ex periencing thunderstorms. Mariners are advised to navigate cautiously and avoid areas where thunderstorms are present. For Bangkok and its vicinity, thunderstorms are expected with a 70% chance of rain, and heavy rainfall is predicted in some areas. The minimum temperature is forecasted to be between 24-26 degrees Celsius, with a maximum temperature ranging from 33-35 degrees Celsius.
