Trump Postpones Deadline for Ukraine Peace Plan

Washington: President Donald Trump has decided to delay the deadline for a Ukraine peace plan, expressing confidence that Ukraine and Russia are nearing an agreement.

According to Thai News Agency, President Trump has relaxed his previous stance on the Ukraine peace plan, having previously set a Thursday deadline for Ukrainian leaders to accept the U.S. proposal. Speaking aboard Air Force One during the Thanksgiving holiday, Trump stated that the deadline is not a pressing issue for him and that U.S. negotiators are making progress in talks with Russia and Ukraine. He expressed optimism that a deal could be achieved soon.

Trump disclosed that his agent, Steve Witkoff, will be traveling to Moscow to meet with President Vladimir Putin, accompanied by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who played a role in negotiating the Gaza peace deal. Concurrently, Army Chief of Staff Dan Driscoll is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv this week.

The President hopes to convene with the Ukrainian and Russian leaders in the near future, although such a meeting will likely occur only after a peace agreement is finalized or is nearing completion.
