Yuan Kawinrat Expresses Heartbreak Over Unmet Needs of Flood Victims

Songkhla: Yuan Kawinrat, known as Yuan Dragon Five, was moved to tears as he struggled with the inability to aid all flood victims in Hat Yai. A long-time volunteer with nearly two decades of experience alongside the Poh Teck Tung Foundation in Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Yuan was deeply affected by the devastation he witnessed in the aftermath of the recent flooding in Songkhla Province. According to Thai News Agency, Yuan has been actively loading goods onto trucks for distribution to those affected by the floods. His dedication extends beyond the work at Poh Teck Tung Foundation, as he also volunteers with the Good Deeds Foundation, assisting in various capacities. He has observed the severe hardships faced by many, emphasizing that the response requires more than just waiting for the water to recede; comprehensive relief efforts are essential. Yuan shared his distress upon seeing widespread suffering, including images of children, the elderly, and animals in distress. The situation is further compoun ded by reports of losses, fatalities, and the isolation experienced by victims. Yuan has been coordinating with multiple foundations to provide immediate assistance, as many people have been without basic necessities for days. Despite challenges, the collective effort of rescue workers is unwavering, with volunteers uniting across organizations to aid their fellow citizens. Yuan expressed gratitude to individuals like Kik Mayurin, who contributed essential supplies such as power banks and solar panels. He acknowledged the criticism rescue workers have faced in the past but emphasized their dedication and sacrifice, urging the public to offer support and encouragement during these trying times.
