Royal Thai Navy Medical Team Provides Aid to Flooded Hat Yai Residents

Hat yai: The Royal Thai Navy dispatched a dedicated medical team to assist the residents of Hat Yai, providing crucial medical care and support amidst ongoing flooding.

According to Thai News Agency, Rear Admiral Parat Rattanachaipan, spokesman for the Royal Thai Navy, announced that the Navy has been proactive in its efforts to support flood victims in Songkhla Province. Since the onset of the flooding, a team comprising over 50 naval doctors and a mobile unit has been deployed to the Hat Yai District. Their mission has been to deliver medical treatment to over 300 individuals, including both children and adults, who have been affected by conditions such as fever, cough, fatigue, athlete's foot, and minor injuries.

In addition to medical treatment, the team has established medication pick-up and dispensing points in the areas most affected by the floods. They have also been reaching out to bedridden patients, the elderly suffering from chronic illnesses, and individuals experiencing high stress due to the floods, providing them with necessary assistance and relocating them to safer areas when needed. Furthermore, the Royal Thai Navy has distributed over 200 relief bags containing essential supplies and medicines to communities that have been isolated by the flooding.
