Songkhla: EGAT and the Thai Engineers Foundation are preparing to visit the area to restore the electrical system after the Songkhla floods.
According to Thai News Agency, EGAT has joined forces with the Thai Engineers Volunteer Foundation to mobilize a team of engineers and volunteer technicians to prepare for the Songkhla flood disaster electrical system restoration from December 4-7.
Mr. Narin Paowanit, Governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), revealed that the flooding in Songkhla Province has caused significant damage to homes, hospitals, and government offices. EGAT, in collaboration with the Thai Engineers Volunteer Foundation, is preparing to lead a team of EGAT engineers and volunteer technicians to survey the damage to homes and electrical systems in Hat Yai and Chana Districts, Songkhla Province, from December 4th to 7th. This effort aims to expedite the restoration and repair of the electrical system so that people can safely return to normal operation.
EGAT has expedited its distribution of relief supplies to provincial energy officials, the Office of National Water Resources, and community leaders in various areas to continuously distribute to the public. Over 5,000 packages have been delivered, with more being dispatched. EGAT would like to offer its support to flood victims and hope they overcome this crisis quickly. EGAT stands with the Thai people through every crisis.
