BAAC Waives Loan Payments for Families of Fallen Heroes in Thai-Cambodian Border Conflict

Bangkok: The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) has announced a waiver of principal and interest on all loan agreements for the families of soldiers who lost their lives during the Thai-Cambodian border conflict.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, Manager of BAAC, delegated Mr. Wuttipong Kessanchai, Director of Branch Operations for the Upper Northeastern Region, along with executives from the BAAC Roi Et Provincial Office, to offer condolences to the family of a soldier who died in the conflict. The bank paid tribute to Sergeant Major Satthawat Sujarit, honoring his sacrifice for national security.

In an effort to alleviate financial burdens, BAAC is expediting assistance to its customers, particularly those who have lost soldiers or border patrol officers in the line of duty. The bank's initiative includes waiving the principal loan amounts, accrued interest, and any penalties on existing loan contracts for the families of the deceased heroes who were BAAC clients.
