Sala Chalermkrung and Volunteer Artists Unite for Flood Relief Effort

Bangkok: Sala Chalermkrung, in collaboration with volunteer artists, actors, and singers, joined forces to pack royal relief bags for the Friends Helping Friends Foundation (Pha Yiam Yak) and the Thai Red Cross Society. The initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of flood victims under the guiding principles of "Sharing, Sufficiency, Sustainability". According to Thai News Agency, on December 8th and 10th, 2025, volunteers gathered at the Army Aviation Command, Army Movement Center, Bang Khen, to prepare relief supplies for disaster victims. The effort was spearheaded by Dr. Narumon Lomthong, Managing Director of Sala Chalermkrung and a board member of both the Friends in Need (of Thailand) Foundation and the Thai Red Cross Society. The team included notable actors and singers such as Yo - Tatsawan Seniwong Na Ayutthaya, Eed - Duangjai Hathaikan, and Tuk - Duangta Tungkamanee, alongside Channel 3 actors and numerous civilian and military volunteers. Together, they packed and loaded 15,200 bags of essentia l supplies onto trucks, destined for flood-stricken areas in Suphan Buri, Songkhla, Satun, Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat provinces. The Friends in Need (of Thailand) Foundation operates under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi and Her Royal Highness Princess Somsovali, continuing its mission of flood relief. This activity received support from various government and private sector organizations donating products and supplies. Dr. Narumon Lomthong accepted donations from entities such as the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning. The Welfare Fund of the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), with its executives, civil servants, and staff, contributed 66,554 baht in cash and supplies. Lam Soon (Thailand) Public Company Limited provided "Yok" brand palm oil, while Double A Company Limited offered encouragement and supplies to aid the flood victims. Both the Friends Helping Friends Foundation and the Thai Re d Cross Society remain committed to their relief efforts, supporting communities during emergency preparedness and recovery phases to help people return to normalcy swiftly.
