Bangkok: The Pheu Thai party is gearing up to unveil its new series, "Yotchanan The Possible Leader," slated to premiere on December 18th.
According to Thai News Agency, the announcement came via a video released by the party, which featured Yotsanu Wongsawat, their prime ministerial candidate. The video, posted on the Pheu Thai Party's Facebook page, runs for 2 minutes and 15 seconds and poses thought-provoking questions about leadership and the future of Thailand. It invites viewers to imagine a Thailand designed with science and reason and asks what kind of leader would emerge from such a vision. The series will debut at 8:00 PM on the specified date.
Former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat, the father of Mr. Yotsanan, emphasized in the video that lineage alone does not guarantee success. He acknowledged his son's potential, stating that while Yotsanan is the son of Mrs. Yaowapa Wongsawat and grandson of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, his rise is attributed to his own capabilities. Mr. Somchai stressed that achieving such a position requires more than just heritage. Additionally, Ms. Nanthakan Silpasawekul, Mr. Yotsanan's wife, highlighted his dedication and sincerity, noting his commitment over the 26 years she has known him.
Mr. Yotsanan reflected on the changes in Thailand since the formation of the Thai Rak Thai party in 1998. He noted the shift from an economic crisis to an era of disruption, describing it as a pivotal moment in the country's development. This transition, he said, motivated him to volunteer to contribute to the nation's progress. Furthermore, he remarked on the personal advice he received from his father, who initially discouraged him from pursuing a leadership role, emphasizing the importance of making beneficial and lasting contributions.
