He emphasized that anyone working for the country's benefit constitutes a unified force, reflecting his focus on national unity amidst regional tensions.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin expressed reluctance to label political alliances as "cooperation," suggesting that unity and solidarity among Thai citizens are paramount, especially during tense periods with neighboring countries. He advocated for handling political matters through established mechanisms and stressed the importance of avoiding premature statements that could lead to complications.
Addressing remarks by Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut of the People's Party, who stated readiness to be in opposition if Bhumjaithai Party forms the government, Anutin acknowledged his position as Prime Minister was due to popular vote. He assured the public of Bhumjaithai Party's commitment to policies benefiting the nation and its readiness for elections.
Regarding opinion polls ranking Bhumjaithai Party in third place, Anutin expressed gratitude for the party's progress from previous lower standings. He hinted at an impressive policy statement and unveiling of prime ministerial candidates during the party's meeting on December 24th, suggesting that the public would not be disappointed.
Addressing rumors about potential prime ministerial candidates, Anutin emphasized continued collaboration with Commerce Minister Supajee Suthamphan and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapha.
Concerning elections in provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border, Anutin assured that candidates are well-prepared, and the government is committed to resolving disputes with neighboring countries. He reiterated that election dates are within the Election Commission's purview, and the government is ready to cooperate as needed.
