Bangkok: Ekanat Promphan, a candidate for Member of Parliament under the party-list system for the Bhumjaithai Party, expressed confidence in the party's prospects in the upcoming Bangkok elections. He noted that a significant portion of Bangkok's electorate remains undecided, presenting an opportunity for Bhumjaithai to be a preferred choice. Promphan emphasized the party's commitment to fulfilling its promises and highlighted its sincerity and determination.
According to Thai News Agency, Promphan observed that while Bangkok voters typically have predetermined choices, this election sees a notable portion-40-50%-still considering their options. He sees this as an advantageous development for Bhumjaithai. Promphan underscored the party's approach of entrusting government positions to professionals outside the political sphere, a strategy that distinguishes them in the current political landscape.
In recent months, despite Thailand facing challenges related to border issues and the economy, the government under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has implemented policies with the help of an expert team. Notably, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Finance are led by seasoned professionals, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Ms. Supajee Suthamphan, and Mr. Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, respectively. Ekanat highlighted the successful implementation of the 'Half-Price Plus' project, which contributed to an unexpected GDP growth of over 1 percent, countering predictions of an economic decline.
