Nakhon si thammarat: Mr. Patipat Muangsuwan, a candidate for Member of Parliament in Constituency 3 of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, held a rally at Praek Muang Beach in Hua Sai District, promoting policies aimed at developing the river basin areas and pushing for their designation as a special economic zone.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Muangsuwan addressed the challenges faced by the Pak Phanang river basin, which includes Hua Sai, Chian Yai, and Pak Phanang districts. The region struggles with issues such as agricultural water supply and saltwater intrusion, despite its unique characteristics, scenic landscapes, and interesting local lifestyles. The Dynamic Party, represented by Mr. Muangsuwan, plans to address these challenges by advocating for the area's development and its recognition as a special economic zone.
Mr. Muangsuwan highlighted that attaining special economic zone status would provide tax privileges to attract investors, particularly those involved in agricultural product processing and aviation fuel production from refined palm oil. This initiative aims to enhance product prices and bolster the local economy. Additionally, Hua Sai's role as a clean energy hub, with its wind turbines generating electricity, has not yet benefited the local population. The Dynamic Party plans to introduce free electricity, valued at 5,000 baht per family, to alleviate household expenses.
The party also intends to promote the clean energy fund to support local employment, education, public health, and tourism. Mr. Muangsuwan outlined plans to improve the Hua Sai pier, promote tourist boats, and establish connections with Songkhla, Koh Samui, and Vietnam. These efforts aim to attract tourists, increase local spending, and create jobs. The positive response from the local community has reinforced the party's confidence in successfully implementing these policies and establishing a strong presence in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
