State Railway of Thailand Executives Attend Funeral Rites for Crane Collapse Victims

Bangkok: The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has taken steps to honor and support the families of those who died in the recent crane collapse incident by dispatching its executives to attend the royal cremation ceremony and Buddhist funeral rites across all affected areas.

According to Thai News Agency, the SRT has sent executives and staff to participate in the funeral rites for victims of the construction crane collapse on the high-speed rail project in Bangkok and other provinces. This initiative aims to offer condolences and support to the grieving families.

Mr. Anan Pothinimdaeng, Deputy Governor and Acting Governor of SRT, appointed Mr. Ek Sittivekin, Mr. Aviruth Thongnet, Mr. Sucheep Sukhsawang, Mr. Anan Jenngamkul, and Mr. Thakoon Intrashom, along with senior executives from both central and regional offices, to attend the funeral rites. The SRT has also arranged for staff to provide close support and assistance, with instructions for relevant agencies to continuously monitor and coordinate aid.

The authorities have confirmed their commitment to closely monitor the situation and address the issues systematically. They are focused on ensuring that compensation is complete, fair, and appropriate. Additionally, the SRT is committed to enhancing safety measures to build public confidence in using train services, with ongoing progress reports to the public.
